The Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Nurlan Zhakupov, introduced Askhat Khasenov to the team of KazMunayGas JSC, who has been entrusted with the duties of the Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas JSC. He will hold this position until the date of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of KazMunayGas JSC, as reported by the company.

Mr. Khasenov has held various responsible positions in state bodies over the years. From January 2022 to May 2024, he served as the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
