USAID Power Central Asia consultations in Aktau with key stakeholders
USAID participated in the “Central Asia on the way to the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC: 5 countries – 1 region – 1 vote” regional forum in Astana
USAID/Central Asia Regional Deputy Mission Director Monique Mosolf participated in the 3rd Almaty Energy Forum.
Co-sponsored by the USAID through its Power Central Asia activity, as well as UNDP Kazakhstan and UNECE, the forum fostered regional cooperation in innovating and modernizing regional infrastructure, and building resilient energy systems that are secure, affordable and deliver on net-zero targets. The forum brought together about 30 energy experts, government officials and academia from #CentralAsia to talk about how to reduce harmful methane emissions.
