Minister Ibraev congratulated Sara Werth on her appointment and expressed gratitude to USAID for its support of key energy initiatives. These included the provision of 128 meters and 104 internet modems, LiDAR equipment for wind measurement, the installation of a rooftop solar station at the Kyrgyz State Technical University, the development of the Ministry of Energy\u2019s website, and the equipping of the Batken Dispatch Center with modern technology.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Minister proposed new opportunities for collaboration. He invited the Mission Director to visit the Toktogul Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is under reconstruction, suggested developing feasibility studies for 10 small hydropower projects, and recommended sending Kyrgyz energy specialists to Hungary for knowledge exchange. He also highlighted ongoing efforts in green energy and expressed readiness to enhance cooperation in this area.<\/p>\n

Sara Werth underscored the importance of concrete proposals from the Ministry of Energy to guide USAID\u2019s upcoming international strategy. She assured that a detailed response would be provided after reviewing the proposals and consulting with relevant USAID leadership.<\/p>\n
